The Buxus bonsai, or Boxwood tree makes a good bonsai because its leaves are small and it has a great branch structure. This is an evergreen tree that can be kept indoors or outdoors, and it will be happy in sun or shade; but protect from heavy frosts. As with all bonsai trees it is important to water every day in the growing season and every other day during the winter. Do not assume a shower of rain will give you a day off watering as it important that the water reaches the roots of the tree. Feed every 2 weeks with our Plantfood 1 (March to end June) and Plantfood 2 (July to end October). Do not feed during the winter. You will find more information on our sales page, in the Care Guide included with every tree sold, and at this website.
