Azaleas are the most popular flowering bonsai. The Satsuki species is so popular there are specialist clubs and societies formed just for this type of bonsai. These are evergreen azaleas and flower from the end of May to early July. Best kept outdoors in a position that gets sun for about half of the day. Too much sun will fade the flowers and could damage the roots. Ensure your tree is well watered – at least once per day in warm weather, do not let the soil dry out. Feed weekly with our Azalea Bonsai Plantfood except when the tree is in flower – see our ‘Care’ information on the sales page, or the fact sheet that comes with each tree. We photograph each tree, so the tree you see on the sales page is the one you will receive. You will also find further information about Azalea Bonsai here.
